Profile

Denis Matveev has 20 years’ experience in political dialogue, conflict mediation and peacebuilding. He has worked in Ukraine, Moldova, Russia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Romania and Sri Lanka as well as on shorter-term assignments focused on Afghanistan, South Sudan, Kyrgyzstan and Myanmar.

He has provided training and advice to the World Bank, EU, OSCE, UN, Commonwealth Secretariat (London), ETH Zurich University, University of Basel, Folke Bernadotte Academy (Sweden), Swiss Peace Foundation and forumZFD Academy (Germany).

Denis also holds the position of Senior Adviser at CMI – Martti Ahtisaari Peace Foundation, which he has advised since 2010.
