Mr Mark Barwinski
Mark Barwinski is a cybersecurity executive with over two decades of experience spanning intelligence, finance, consulting, and manufacturing. At the U.S. National Security Agency (NSA), he served as a senior technical director at the Threat Operations Center (NTOC) and in the agency’s elite offensive units—Tailored Access Operations (TAO) and the Special Collection Service (F6/SCS). In the private sector, he held leadership roles at PwC, Siemens, and UBS, where he led global cyber operations, deployed machine learning for threat detection, and implemented follow-the-sun SOC strategies across multinational enterprises.
Today, through his firm CyberOps.ch, Mark advises organizations in Europe, North America, and the Middle East on cybersecurity strategy, quantum-safe readiness, and building high-performing technical teams. He is also a lecturer at Swiss universities and from time to time writes for Latin American media, where he helps raise public awareness of emerging cyber risks and mentors the next generation of security leaders.
Outside cybersecurity, Mark is an avid sailor. He has crossed the North Sea from Iceland to Norway and rounded Cape Horn while exploring Patagonia.
