Ms Giulia Ferraro
Giulia Ferraro is the Representative for Italy, the Vatican–Holy See and Switzerland at the Institute for Economics & Peace (IEP), where she focuses on institutional engagement and strategic representation and supports the translation of peace and risk data for policymakers, institutional actors and partners.
Giulia has worked in international peace and security for a decade, combining field experience with headquarters coordination and organisational management across four regions, including politically sensitive contexts such as Iraq and Colombia. Her work focuses on peace processes and dialogue, mediation, stakeholder engagement, Women, Peace and Security, and the use of evidence and peace data to inform policy, partnerships and strategic decision-making. She is also co-founder of the Italian Network for International Mediation, a public-private, multi-stakeholder platform supporting international mediation practice.
Giulia holds an LL.M. from the University of Melbourne and a Master’s Degree in Law from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore di Milano. She has also completed advanced training in negotiation and mediation at the London School of Economics and the Swiss Peacebuilding Training Course delivered by the GCSP, FDFA and SWISSINT.
