Prof. Dr Patrick Reinmoeller
Patrick Reinmoeller is Professor of Strategy and Innovation at IMD, where he teaches senior executives, MBA, and EMBA participants on strategy, innovation, and organisational transformation. His research and advisory work focus on strategic thinking, customer-centric innovation, and knowledge creation to drive long-term commercial success.
Patrick has extensive international experience, with particular expertise in the Japanese business sector, having lived and worked in Japan for several years. He has advised leading global organisations, including Bank Mandiri, Coca-Cola İçecek, DENSO, DNB, and Norlys, on developing strategic priorities, implementing strategic initiatives, and managing organisational change.
Before joining IMD in 2020, he held academic appointments at Cranfield University, Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, and the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology. He completed his academic studies in Germany and Italy before undertaking post-doctoral research at the Institute of Innovation Research, Hitotsubashi University in Japan.
A widely published author and researcher, Patrick has written extensively on strategy and innovation. His latest books include Mapping a Winning Strategy: Developing and Executing a Successful Strategy in Turbulent Markets (2018) and Strategic Management: Competitiveness and Globalization (2011).
