“Women in Peace and Security” Fellowship
Are you an expert on issues related to gender, peace and security who enjoys engaging with policymakers? Are you looking to take on a new challenge? The GCSP’s Global Fellowship Initiative (GFI) is offering a fully-funded six-month fellowship, sponsored by the U.S. Mission to the UN and other International Organizations in Geneva, to build your knowledge, skills and network within an inspiring, multidisciplinary and multicultural environment!
The Geneva Centre for Security Policy (GCSP) provides forward-thinking and innovative solutions for leaders and policymakers in international security. Become part of our Global Fellowship Initiative (GFI) and join a community of experts, all sharing a desire to find creative solutions to today and tomorrow’s challenges. We inspire, prepare and support a multidisciplinary, multicultural and multigenerational group of talented individuals in the field of international peace and security by offering spaces and resources that support research, foster creativity and collaboration, and expand networks.
Who should apply
This fellowship is intended for a U.S. citizen who is an expert on issues related to women, peace and security, particularly with regards to the meaningful participation of women in decision-making within organizations and governance. A cross-sectoral background is an asset but is not mandatory.
Key benefits for you
This will be an exciting opportunity to contribute to GCSP’s existing portfolio on Gender and Inclusive Security which includes expert workshops, executive education offerings and capacity-building engagements. The Women in Peace and Security fellow will actively contribute to these activities and liaise with the rich environment in International Geneva to develop new ideas. We host a number of projects in our Creative Spark including the International Gender Champions, as well as the Collaboration Spotting, Climate Action Accelerator and Geneva Cities Hub. The GCSP and its Global Fellowship Initiative offer a unique setting for peer review from a diverse group of experts to strengthen research and/or projects as well as the potential for publication.
