Crisis Management for Association Leaders

This white paper was written based on the knowledge shared during the Geneva Association Days 2026 by Niko Orell, Head of Crisis Management at the Geneva Centre for Security Policy (GCSP), along with insights gathered during a practical crisis simulation workshop. The Geneva Association Days is a two half-day event providing a dynamic and inclusive platform for CEOs and Directors of international and European associations and NGOs to access cutting-edge knowledge, exchange with experts and address key challenges facing their organisations. The 2026 edition was organised and financed by the Geneva Convention Bureau.
