Equity, Power and Inclusion – Rethinking Security through a Comprehensive Approach 2026
How are you navigating the current security environment where priorities are shifting towards defence? What is the role of government institutions, civil society and the private sector? How can we have a more comprehensive and integrated approach that values and includes everyone?
This half day online workshop is designed to bring together leaders in peace, security, humanitarian and governance sectors grappling with shifting power dynamics and a focus on defence. It will look at the current challenges through the lens of inequalities, exclusion and power imbalances and the factors that undermine resilience. It will draw on the Nordic experience and approach to ‘Comprehensive Security’ that takes a whole of society approach to look at the potential role of individuals alongside government institutions and private businesses.
The objective is to create a space to share experiences and learn from experts and peers, as well as discover new tools to apply to your context.
Previous seminars have focused on Decolonisation and Localisation; and Peace and Security for Who?
