Lieutenant Colonel Jost Grob serves as a regular officer in the Swiss Armed Forces. He is currently being seconded to the Geneva Centre for Security Policy (GCSP) as Senior Defence Advisor. Following a transition period, he will assume responsibility for the Defence and Diplomacy Cluster and the Defence Attaché courses. His most recent post was as Head of International Relations for the Training and Education Command of the Swiss Armed Forces. Jost Grob holds a bachelor's degree in public affairs from ETH Zurich and a Master of Advanced Studies in International Security from the University of Geneva. He was deployed as a UN Military Observer to the United Nations Truce Supervision Organization (UNTSO) in the Middle East and later held the positions of Course Director at the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC) in Accra, Ghana and Course Director at the Swiss International Command (SWISSINT) in Stans. He is a native speaker of German and is fluent in English and French.
