Editor Syria’s Transition Challenges Project

Part-time consultancy - (upon agreement- 31st December 2021)

The GCSP’s Syria Transition Challenges Project is looking for an experienced editor for its English publications. Knowledge of social science and Middle East conflicts terminology is essential, and adequate experience in editing international affairs and conflicts material is key. The following are the requirements:

  • Minimum of five years of experience in editing,
  • Master’s degree in social science or humanities,
  • Flexibility to deliver on short notice,
  • Residency in Switzerland is not required.

  • Rate per hour and per words for the following categories:
    • Substantive editing (paraphrasing, shortening, checking flow, and fact checking),
    • Basic editing (grammar and style),
    • Cursory editing (proofreading).
  • Reference contact,
  • CV.

The selected candidates only will be called for an interview. The start of the consultancy will be upon agreement, and the contract will be until end of 2021.
