Antoine Got is a Canadian Staff Officer at NATO’s Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe, based in Belgium. He acts as subject matter expert on the Baltic Sea region, international crisis management and partner capacity building at the Comprehensive Crisis and Operations Management Centre, NATO’s hub for crisis identification, response and operations. Prior to joining NATO, Antoine worked at the United Nations and the International Crisis Group, where he conducted research and contributed to flagship publications offering recommendations to help reduce the risk of violence in conflict situations around the world. He has authored several commentaries on crisis management and international security published on such platforms as War on the Rocks, NATO Review and The Diplomat. His research interests lie with the long-term adaptation of states and international organisations to the changing character of war, emerging security challenges, crisis management, transatlantic relations, European defence, Russia and the post-Soviet space. Antoine holds a Master's degree in International Relations from The University of Edinburgh, and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Philosophy from McGill University. He currently serves as a Young Leader in Foreign and Security Policy Fellow with the Geneva Centre for Security Policy’s Global Fellowship Initiative.
