Protection and empowerment in the "new normal"
COVID-19, Ebola, climate change, movement of people create security challenges that require new, innovative approaches. Even though the human security concept has been used for the past two decades, there is a need to put “freedom from want”, “freedom from fear” and “freedom to live in dignity” in new, contemporary policies and actions. This discussion will give you insights of how human security can be applied in the new normal in 2020 and beyond.
